600 RR Racing Comes From 22nd Place to Finish Fourth!

With race number two of the 2010 season in the books, and the first race of the season at Canyon Speedway Park, the Arizona Modified Midget Association kept the fans on the edge of their seats with another action packed race full of excitement and passing; which is what everyone has come to expect any time the Modified Midgets are on the track.

It looked like the Fife racing #8 car driven by Jacob Hawkins was on their way to victory when a broken wheel center took them out of the race, opening the door for an exciting battle between Matt Jackson and Gary Winter for the top spot. In the end it was California racer Gary Winter capturing the checkers to become the second main event winner of this young race season. Congratulations Gary and we hope to see you running with the AMMA again in the near future.

We would also like to congratulate Austin Quick and Dylan Cappello for their hard charging performances. Austin started 22nd and drove his way to a 4th place finish while ‘The Hit Man’ Dylan Cappello started 18th and battled his way up to a 5th place finish. GREAT job guys!

Thank You to everyone for coming up and your efforts in providing the fans with a great nite of minisprint racing , the racing action was very exciting...! Awesome show..! Congratulations to Austin Quick #28 on your win..! Way to go..! The race did not go without incident however as 2 drivers, Matt Jackson #61 and Mike Visser #16a tried to test the integrity of the turn 3 wall. We're all glad you guys were not hurt in the accidents. The young rookie Brandon Hacker #21 showed his driving talents by taking the lead early from the outside pole , Brandon showed the fast way around was on the cushion up top and held everyone off until lap 7 when Austin Quick #28 came up from his 4th starting spot to take the lead. Brandon gave chase and never gave up his 2nd spot followed by Garrett Guilkey #11 , Kenny Brewer #45, and Dennis Carrier #2 in close pursuit. 600RR Racing.com Takes Win In Prescott

Can you say mud... ?  Saturday nites AMSA minisprint race at PVR was a mudslinging slip & slid fest of  wild  racing action. Afternoon rains watered down the track ,leaving PVR track crews scrambling to get it prepared for a nite of racing .
Much to their credit the minisprint crews did their best to tune their cars, as  the track slowly dried out enough for some slippery  fast racing.
Congratulations to Mike Visser and your Black Hills Racing team on your win. You guys did an  excellent job of getting hooked up..! All 3 of your team cars finishing in the top 5, way to go..!
Thank you to everyone for a fun mudslinging race , heres mud in yer eye... :)
